The Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Western Branch Bruins to 48 in the Statesmen non-league victory on Friday.

The Statesmen now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairfax for a non-league contest on Friday, January 16.
