California High School Lacrosse - Palos Verdes overwhelms JSerra Catholic
March 15, 2012: Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274 The crowd at Thursday's non-league game between the Palos Verdes Sea Kings (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) and the visiting JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA), saw Palos Verdes's lacrosse squad achieve victory over JSerra Catholic by a margin of 15-10.
The Sea Kings (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Culver City (Culver City, CA). The Centaurs enter the South Bay game with a 2-0 record.
The Lions (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Mount St. Joseph Academy (Brighton, MA). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Mount St. Joseph Academy edged San Clemente (San Clemente, CA), 10-4, in a non-league game.
Game Summary
The Palos Verdes Sea Kings broke off to a 2-0 lead before going down 4-2 and then tying up the score at 4-4 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Romare Smith gave the offense the ball 20 out of 29 times to help propel them to a 15-10 victory. Grant Cigliano also was a major factor in stopping 14 shots on goal.
Tony Romeri led the way in goals with 6 and Zack Fixen had 5. Dean Dillenberg had 6 assists along with 2 goals. John Romer and Zach Henkhaus each had a goal.
