Florida High School Softball - Central bounces Gulf

Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Central Bears (Brooksville, FL) and the visiting Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), witnessed Central's softball squad prevail over Gulf by a count of 16-6.

The Bears now sport a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cypress Creek for a 5A District 7 match on Friday, March 29. Central will face a Coyotes squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Coyotes record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Gulf moves to 2-6 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Mitchell (New Port Richey, FL) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Monday, April 1. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 10-5. Mitchell won 12-0 in their recent non-league match against Dixie Hollins (St. Petersburg, FL)
