Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights (Arthur, IL), 80-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Hawks travel to Pana (Pana, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 26. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Pana lost 39-33 in their recent league bout against Litchfield (Litchfield, IL)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders (Arthur, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Conquering Riders go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 60-38 non-league loss to Arcola (Arcola, IL).
