In Friday's non-league game, the Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA) football team smashed the host Brookville Bees (Lynchburg, VA), by a score of 58-25.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Glass overwhelmed Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 14-7, in a non-league game.

The Bees now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Halifax County for a non-league game on Friday, September 1. Brookville will battle a Comets team coming off a 61-20 non-league loss to Person (Roxboro, NC). The Comets record now stands at 0-1.
