Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA) and the visiting El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), saw San Leandro's baseball squad knock off El Capitan by a count of 8-1.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 15. San Leandro will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 7-5 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA).
