Iowa High School Basketball - Marion fells Washington
December 2, 2023: Marion, IA 52302 Marion Wolves (Marion, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), 70-61 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Marion improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Iowa City (Iowa City, IA) to confront the Little Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 4. The Little Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Iowa City won 74-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Friday, December 8. Washington will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 68-57 non-league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA).
