New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos tops Aztec
January 4, 2023: Taos, NM 87571 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) and the visiting Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), saw Taos's basketball squad knock off Aztec by a count of 32-15.
With the victory, Taos upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Capital lost 40-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM)
The Tigers now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Newcomb for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Aztec will encounter a Skyhawks squad coming off a 49-14 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 2-3.
