In Saturday's non-league outing, the Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL) basketball squad edged the visiting Paxton Bobcats (Paxton, FL), by a margin of 58-56.

The Purple Cats (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Zion Chapel (Jack, AL). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Zion Chapel held off Bayshore Christian (Fairhope, AL), 51-36, in a non-league outing.
