April 14, 2012: Sunnyvale, CA 94085 In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Delhi Hawks softball team scored a close 9-2 win over the King's Academy Knights.
Coming up next, the Hawks battle the Gustine Redskins (Gustine, CA) in a Southern outing, on Tuesday, April 17. Delhi will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record.
The Knights (0-7) will now prepare for their outing against Alma Heights Christian (Pacifica, CA). The Eagles enter the West Bay - Foothill outing with a 2-7 record.

Kings Academy falls 9-2 at the hands of Delhi
Delhi pounded Kings Academy on Sunday 9-2 at Tracy in five innings.
Delhi scored four runs in the fourth on a groundout by Vanessa Pulido, an RBI triple by Briana Lopez, an RBI double by Alyssa Stockton, and an error.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.
Delhi took the lead in the third inning and held on for the victory. Delhi went up for good on an RBI triple by Stockton off #1, bringing home Lopez.
Lopez racked up three RBIs on three hits for Delhi.
Pulido got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over five innings. The Delhi pitcher struck out two, walked none and surrendered seven hits.
It didn't take long for Delhi to answer as it scored one run of its own in the first. Delhi scored on an RBI double by Lopez.
A key third-inning rally gave Delhi the lead for good. Delhi tacked on a total of three s on A passed ball and an RBI single by Lopez.
