Illinois High School Basketball - Queen of Peace knocked off by Stagg
January 17, 2009: Palos Hills, IL 60465 In Saturday's non-league match, the host Stagg Chargers basketball team scored a good 59-39 triumph over the Queen of Peace Pride.
In their next game, the Chargers confront the Lincoln-Way North (Frankfort, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban match, on Tuesday, January 20. Stagg will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record. The enter the match with a 2-14 record after their 50-42 non-league loss to Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL).
With the defeat, Queen of Peace moves to 7-15 on the year. The Pride host Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to battle the Bandits in a Girls Catholic challenge on Thursday, January 22. The Bandits come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Resurrection lost 67-32 in their recent league challenge against Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL)
