Arizona High School Basketball - El Capitan overwhelms Greyhills Academy
January 7, 2014: Tuba City, AZ 86045 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the El Capitan Eagles (Colorado City, AZ) and the host Greyhills Academy Fightin' Knights (Tuba City, AZ), saw El Capitan's basketball squad wallop Greyhills Academy by a tally of 61-35.
With the victory, El Capitan improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Rock Point (Rock Point, AZ) to play the Cougars in a IV Section I challenge on Friday, January 10. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 2-8. Rock Point lost 70-40 in their recent league test against Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon, AZ)
The Fightin' Knights now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they host Hopi for a III Section I test on Thursday, January 9. Greyhills Academy will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 56-38 non-league loss to Winslow (Winslow, AZ). The Bruins record now stands at 3-11.
