March 22, 2024: Haughton, LA 71037 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Oak Grove Tigers (Oak Grove, LA) and the host Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA), witnessed Oak Grove's softball squad tip Haughton by a count of 11-4.
The Tigers now sport a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Franklin Parish for a non-league match on Monday, March 25. Oak Grove will face a Patriots squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-13.
With the loss, Haughton moves to 12-11 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA) to encounter the Lions in a non-league test on Saturday, March 23. The Lions enter the test with a record of 10-13. Ouachita Parish won 25-21 in their recent non-league test against Weston (Jonesboro, LA)
