Illinois High School Softball - Genoa-Kingston can't get by Forreston
April 3, 2023: Forreston, IL 61030 In Monday's non-league contest, the Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL) softball team held off the visiting Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL), by a margin of 11-10.
With the triumph, Forreston moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Polo (Polo, IL) to play the Marcos in a NUIC East contest on Tuesday, April 4. The Marcos come into the contest with a record of 1-3. Polo won 12-10 in their recent non-league contest against Durand (Durand, IL)
In their next game, the Cogs play the North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) in a Big Northern contest, on Tuesday, April 4. Genoa-Kingston will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 5-3 league loss to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL).
