West Virginia High School Basketball - Lewis County knocked off by Huntington
February 2, 2024: Huntington, WV 25701 The Huntington Highlanders basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Lewis County Minutemen to 49 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Friday.
The Highlanders now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Huntington will battle a Warriors team coming off a 53-43 league loss to Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 4-13.
The Minutemen (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers enter the Big Ten contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Buckhannon-Upshur was defeated by John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 67-52, in a non-league contest.
