The Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions basketball team scored 83 points and held the host San Perlita Trojans to 47 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Lions now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Premont for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Santa Gertrudis Academy will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 55-52 non-league loss to Mathis (Mathis, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-14.

The Trojans (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Economedes (Edinburg, TX). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 11-11 record.
