Illinois High School Volleyball - Sacred Heart edged by Sandburg
September 30, 2011: Orland Park, IL 60462 The Sandburg Eagles held off the visiting Sacred Heart Valkyries volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles now have a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Huntley for a non-league test on Saturday, October 1. Sandburg will confront a Red Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Catholic Memorial (Waukesha, WI). The Red Raiders record now stands at 16-1.
The Valkyries (22-7) will now prepare for their game against Martin County (Stuart, FL). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 12-2 record. In their last game, Martin County was nudged by Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
