Illinois High School Softball - Lincoln-Way East bounces Marengo
May 22, 2021: Marengo, IL 60152 Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Griffins now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lockport for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Monday, May 24. Lincoln-Way East will face a Porters squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Porters record now stands at 11-14.
With the loss, Marengo falls to 10-13 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Harvard (Harvard, IL) to clash with the Hornets in a Kishwaukee River game on Monday, May 24. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 2-12. Harvard lost 14-11 in their recent non-league game against Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL)
