In Friday's non-league match, the host Bakersfield Drillers football squad scored a good 34-24 victory over the Garces Rams.

In their next game, the Drillers clash with the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits (Long Beach, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 14. Bakersfield will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Jackrabbits enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 56-0 non-league loss to Narbonne (Harbor City, CA).
