Northport Tigers (Northport, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the host Longwood Lions (Middle Island, NY), 16-8 in a league battle.

The Tigers now have a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Half Hollow Hills East for a Section 11 I battle on Wednesday, May 8. Northport will clash with a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 16-7 non-league win over Huntington (Huntington, NY). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 10-1.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) in a Section 11 I battle, on Wednesday, May 8. Longwood will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record.
