Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Westinghouse Warriors (Chicago, IL), 45-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Deerfield (Deerfield, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-17.

Next up, the Warriors clash with the ITW David Speer Academy Pride (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 17. Westinghouse will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Pride go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 55-13 non-league win over Curie (Chicago, IL).
