Texas High School Volleyball - Pieper tips Smithson Valley

September 8, 2023: Spring Branch, TX 78070

Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 3-2 in a league match.

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 match, on Tuesday, September 12. Pieper will attempt to advance on its 20-6 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 25-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX).

With the loss, Smithson Valley drops to 18-12 on the campaign. The Rangers host Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Patriots in a 5A Region IV District 26 match on Tuesday, September 12. The Patriots come into the match with a record of 9-17. Veterans Memorial lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)
