Mesa Jackrabbits (Mesa, AZ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mesa upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Jackrabbits travel to McClintock (Tempe, AZ) to play the Chargers in a I Section III bout on Tuesday, November 27. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Tigers play the Desert Ridge Jaguars (Mesa, AZ) in a I Section II bout, on Friday, November 30. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
