Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Valley View nips Scranton Prep

Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Scranton Prep Cavaliers (Scranton, PA), 5-4 in a league test.

With the win, Valley View upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA) to battle the Royals in a non-league test on Saturday, April 10. The Royals come into the test with a record of 3-0. Holy Redeemer won 11-1 in their recent league test against MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA)

The Cavaliers (0-2) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, PA). The Hawks go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, St. Joseph's Prep tipped Father Judge (Philadelphia, PA), 11-1, in a league match.
