May 3, 2024: Temple Hills, MD 20748 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) and the host Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD), saw Westlake's baseball squad edge Crossland by a count of 1-0.
The Wolverines (1-16) will now prepare for their match against Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Chargers go into the Southern Maryland match with a 1-10 record. In their last match, Lackey was edged by Patuxent (Lusby, MD), 14-1, in a league match.
The Cavaliers (1-13) will now prepare for their match against Fairmont Heights (Capitol Heights, MD). The Hornets go into the Prince George's County 3/2A/1A match with a 15-8 record. In their last match, Fairmont Heights edged Surrattsville (Clinton, MD), 20-13, in a league match.
