Minnesota High School Basketball - Mayo nudges Eagan
January 7, 2023: Rochester, MN 55904 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) basketball squad edged the visiting Eagan Wildcats (Eagan, MN), by a count of 68-65.
The Spartans (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Century (Rochester, MN). The Panthers go into the AAAA Section 1 outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Century held off Owatonna (Owatonna, MN), 65-48, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Burnsville for a AAAA Section 3 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Eagan will clash with a Blaze squad coming off a 74-52 league loss to Jefferson (Bloomington, MN). The Blaze record now stands at 5-4.
