Texas High School Basketball - Poteet ripped by Lovejoy
November 28, 2023: Mesquite, TX 75150 The Lovejoy Leopards basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Poteet Pirates to 25 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Leopards now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Oso for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Lovejoy will battle a Bears team coming off a 46-32 non-league loss to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bears record now stands at 10-2.
The Pirates (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Denison (Denison, TX). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Denison was routed by North Lamar (Paris, TX), 49-43, in a non-league contest.
