August 26, 2011: Birmingham, AL 35219 In Friday's non-league match, the host Carroll Catholic Cavaliers football squad scored a good 44-22 victory over the Jacksonville Golden Eagles.
In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Pleasant Grove Spartans (Pleasant Grove, AL) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Friday, September 2. Carroll Catholic will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 32-6 non-league win over Lee (Montgomery, AL).
The Golden Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Locust Fork (Locust Fork, AL). The Hornets enter the 4A Region 6 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Locust Fork ran past Crossville (Crossville, AL), 28-18, in a non-league match.
