North Dakota High School Basketball - Valley City tops Central Cass

February 5, 2024: Casselton, ND 58012

Valley City Hi-Liners (Valley City, ND) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND), 50-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley City upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Hi-Liners host Northern Cass (Hunter, ND) to play the Jaguars in a A Region 1 bout on Monday, February 12. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 13-8.

Next up, the Squirrels play the Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Central Cass will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Firebirds come into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 58-38 league win over Four Winds/Minnewaukan (Fort Totten, ND).
