March 12, 2024: Siler City, NC 27344 Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Blue Comets confront the Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 15. Asheboro will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC).
The Jets now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwood for a Mid-Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Monday, March 18. Jordan-Matthews will confront a Chargers team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 3-3.
