Iowa High School Basketball - Spencer holds off Denison-Schleswig
January 31, 2023: Spencer, IA 51301 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Spencer Tigers (Spencer, IA) and the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), saw Spencer's basketball squad hold off Denison-Schleswig by a tally of 47-40.
With the victory, Spencer improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA) to confront the Tornadoes in a Lakes challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Storm Lake lost 59-43 in their recent league challenge against Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA)
Next up, the Monarchs confront the Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 78-53 league loss to Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA).
