New Mexico High School Basketball - Thoreau holds off Whitehorse
December 15, 2022: Thoreau, NM 87323 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) and the visiting Whitehorse Raiders (Montezuma Creek, UT), saw Thoreau's basketball squad hold off Whitehorse by a tally of 68-62.
With the victory, Thoreau improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Hot Springs won 56-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Zuni (Zuni, NM)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Whitehorse will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 56-48 non-league loss to Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM).
