The Cannon Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Charlotte Latin Hawks to 35 in the Cougars league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlotte Christian for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest on Tuesday, February 1.

The Hawks (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Chargers enter the NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest with a 17-3 record. In their last contest, Providence Day was routed by Cannon (Concord, NC), 55-53, in a league contest.
