Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mater Academy Charter Lions (Hialeah Gardens, FL) and the visiting Southridge Spartans (Miami, FL), saw Mater Academy Charter's basketball squad overcome Southridge by a tally of 45-34.

With the victory, Mater Academy Charter improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Wellington (Wellington, FL) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 15. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Wellington won 43-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Park Vista (Lake Worth, FL)
