Paxton Tigers (Paxton, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves (Maywood, NE), 48-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Paxton upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Tigers host Creek Valley (Chappell, NE) to clash with the Storm in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 13. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Creek Valley lost 65-35 in their recent league bout against Minatare (Minatare, NE)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Maywood/Hayes Center will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 51-46 non-league win over Overton (Overton, NE).
