North Carolina High School Softball - Watauga bounces St. Stephens
April 24, 2018: Boone, NC 28607 The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), saw Watauga's softball squad achieve victory over St. Stephens by a count of 14-3.
The Pioneers now sport a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to McDowell for a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Thursday, April 26. Watauga will face a Titans squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Titans record now stands at 13-7.
With the loss, St. Stephens falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Indians host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to face the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Friday, April 27. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 17-4. Alexander Central won 4-1 in their recent league match against McDowell (Marion, NC)
