Illinois High School Basketball - Putnam County overwhelms Somonauk/Leland
November 21, 2023: Granville, IL 61326 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) and the visiting Somonauk/Leland Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), saw Putnam County's basketball squad wallop Somonauk/Leland by a tally of 49-15.
With the victory, Putnam County improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Midland (Varna, IL) to confront the Timberwolves in a Tri-County challenge on Monday, November 27. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Midland won 35-34 in their recent league challenge against Dwight (Dwight, IL)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Indian Creek Timberwolves (Shabbona, IL) in a Little Ten challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Somonauk/Leland will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
