In Friday's league test, the host Newman Smith Trojans football team scored a decisive 53-0 triumph over the Sunset Bison.

With the triumph, Newman Smith improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to White (Dallas, TX) to battle the Longhorns in a 5A-1 Region II District 6 test on Thursday, October 21. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 5-2. White won 62-7 in their recent league test against Samuell (Dallas, TX)

With the loss, Sunset drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bison host Adams (Dallas, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A-1 Region II District 6 test on Friday, October 22. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 5-2. Adams lost 48-14 in their recent league test against Wilson (Dallas, TX)
