Michigan High School Basketball - Coleman topped by Merrill
January 21, 2015: Merrill, MI 48637 The Merrill Vandals basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Coleman Comets to 39 in the Vandals non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Vandals now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ithaca for a Tri-Valley - West contest on Thursday, January 22. Merrill will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 47-29 non-league win over Alma (Alma, MI). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-0.
The Comets (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Montabella (Blanchard, MI). The Mustangs come into the Mid-State contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Montabella prevailed over Farwell (Farwell, MI), 50-37, in a non-league contest.
