Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), 65-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Martinsville upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 12. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Halifax County won 58-57 in their recent non-league bout against Person (Roxboro, NC)

Next up, the Terriers play the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 12. Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 62-34 non-league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA).
