Illinois High School Basketball - Heyworth topped by Roanoke-Benson
January 28, 2023: Heyworth, IL 61745 The Roanoke-Benson Rockets basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Heyworth Hornets to 53 in the Rockets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rockets now sport a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marquette for a Tri-County contest on Monday, January 30. Roanoke-Benson will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 32-29 non-league loss to Hall (Spring Valley, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-14.
The Hornets (17-11) will now prepare for their contest against Fisher (Fisher, IL). The Bunnies come into the Heart Of Illinois contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Fisher was defeated by Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL), 47-27, in a non-league contest.
