Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Manchester Red Hawks (Manchester, CT), 63-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Windham upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign.

Next up, the Red Hawks play the East Hartford Hornets (East Hartford, CT) in a Central Connecticut - East Colonial bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Manchester will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 72-61 non-league loss to Newington (Newington, CT).
