The Centerville Tornadoes basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Avon Pirates to 43 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Saturday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Centerville will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 62-19 league win over Colome (Colome, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 4-6.

The Pirates (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Burke (Burke, SD). The Cougars come into the B Region 5 contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Burke prevailed over Stuart (Stuart, NE), 50-32, in a non-league contest.
