Iowa High School Basketball - Rock Island nudges Pleasant Valley
December 16, 2023: Pleasant Valley, IA 52767 Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA), 70-69 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rock Island upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Rocks travel to Normal Community (Normal, IL) to clash with the Ironmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Normal Community lost 44-37 in their recent non-league bout against Thornton (Harvey, IL)
Next up, the Spartans clash with the Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Pleasant Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 62-56 league loss to Muscatine (Muscatine, IA).
