North Carolina High School Basketball - Erwin holds off Enka

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) and the host Enka Jets (Enka, NC), saw Erwin's basketball squad hold off Enka by a tally of 40-37.

With the victory, Erwin improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Asheville (Asheville, NC) to confront the Cougars in a 3A/4A Mountain challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Asheville won 45-38 in their recent league challenge against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC)

Next up, the Jets confront the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a 3A/4A Mountain challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Enka will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 60-48 non-league win over Myers Park (Charlotte, NC).
