Illinois High School Basketball - Putnam County topped by Pontiac
December 9, 2022: Granville, IL 61326 The Pontiac Indians basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Putnam County Panthers to 58 in the Indians non-league victory on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeton for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Pontiac will battle a Tigers team coming off a 74-50 non-league win over Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 9-0.
The Panthers (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Somonauk (Somonauk, IL). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Somonauk prevailed over Leland (Leland, IL), 65-27, in a league contest.
