South Carolina High School Basketball - Marion tops Cheraw

January 18, 2019: Cheraw, SC 29520

Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC), 89-74 in a league bout.

With the victory, Marion upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Swamp Foxes travel to Dillon (Dillon, SC) to play the Wildcats in a AAA Region VI bout on Tuesday, January 22. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Dillon lost 57-55 in their recent league bout against Loris (Loris, SC)

Next up, the Braves play the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 21. Cheraw will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Diamond Hornets come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 52-49 league loss to Flora (Columbia, SC).
