South Carolina High School Football - Georgetown held off by Carvers Bay
August 26, 2016: Hemingway, SC 29554 Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC) followers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad edge the visiting Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC), 14-7 in a non-league contest.
The Bears now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Waccamaw for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Carvers Bay will play a Warriors squad coming off a 19-1 non-league win over St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Andrews Yellowjackets (Andrews, SC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 2. Georgetown will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 42-35 non-league win over Hanahan (Hanahan, SC).
