Georgia High School Soccer - West Hall nudges Gainesville
February 27, 2024: Oakwood, GA 30566 West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans face the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) in a 3A Area 7 challenge, on Friday, March 1. West Hall will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA).
The Red Elephants now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lanier for a 6A Area 8 challenge on Friday, March 1. Gainesville will face a Longhorns team coming off a 5-1 league loss to North Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-4.
