Ludlowe Falcons (Fairfield, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 25-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southington for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. Ludlowe will face a Blue Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT). The Blue Knights record now stands at 24-0.

With the loss, Newtown falls to 21-3 on the campaign.
